With the COVID-19 Global Pandemic Outbreak, the world is definitely changing the way we live and conduct our lives and businesses forever. If you are experiencing symptoms or need information on the prevention and risks of COVID-19, we hope that this list of resources is helpful. COVID-19 will cause economic activity to slow and will have a huge impact on the Ontario housing market and affordability. To contain this virus, so many Ontarians are left not working while practicing social distancing. Banks are lowering rates and introducing mortgage deferral programs. Both the Ontario and Provincial governments have responded to the COVID-19 Crises with programs and stimulus packages. With lost jobs and lost wages due to COVID-19, many tenants are worried they can’t make the rent. On the other side of the problem, we have landlords that need support with properties that are unaffordable without the rents they collect. Rental supplements for both tenants and landlords are in the works with the government. In this list, you will also find housing links and government programs that we hope will help you get through this very difficult time. We will update this list as new information becomes available.
